I had an account with them years ago, and of course they are more expensive on the renewal side, but you may want to pick a few up and then transfer them to your favorite registrar if you don't like the renewal pricing or their backend. $2 is at least a cheap way to try them out.

Thecoming.org closed at $1704. The 6 year old domain had 10 bidders make 37 bids. Bidder 9 came in and jumped the price $500 to over $1200 but bidder 10 came in and made one bid and won the auction.
ArticleServe.net closed at $1525. 9 bidders made 42 bids for the 5 year old domain. It was a two horse race from $400. Bidder 7 and bidder 9 went back and forth with bidder 9 winning the auction.

t5.net Some people love the 2 character domains even in .net and .org, this name is already bid up pretty high and should go higher,again for new domainers and small domainers back order for $69 so you can watch the action and see how these premium short domains do when when they get to auction.
XtX.org Like the way it sounds, may not be the most end users in North America for the domain but still worth taking a look at.
Fyle.com Seems like a start up domain for some company wanting to be a little different and pay a lot less than the proper spelling of the name.
NZW.net New Zealand Weekly ? Name at $300 already with a lot of bidders.

Cookiesdelivered.com closed at $500. The 8 year old domain had 3 bidders make 23 bids. Bidder 1 who placed the back order won the name.

Brian Ussery wrote an excellent article on quality content and improving search results in a Google Panda world. He provides a lot of points on what to and what not to do.

“Shallow content” provides little value to users and offers low utility based on the intent of the query. However, technically this type of content is not considered spam by Google because it does not violate Google Webmaster Guidelines. Google provides information about creating websites and thin content but, thus far has provided little if any official documentation about shallow content. Until recently, shallow content fell between teams internally at Google. In order to address the influx of shallow content that resulted from Google Caffeine, Google launched “Panda.” Google Panda is a holistic approach for addressing site quality at scale algorithmically. The quality signals used by Google Panda were derived from answers to questions about site quality. According to Google, these questions were created by a Google Engineer whose last name is Panda and answered by Google’s little known Evaluation team. While there is no way of knowing how Google Evaluators answered Panda’s questions, those with an in depth understanding of related research have a pretty good idea.

Google has confirmed reports of a Panda update with us. Thye company told us they have done a data refresh of the Google Panda algorithm about a week ago, and added that there were no additional signals or algorithm changes. This was only a data refresh.
I saw reports over the past week or so of webmasters commenting about their rankings. Most were complaining that they lost rankings, but some said sites that were originally hit by Panda regained their traffic levels pre-Panda. This would explain the data refresh, where Google ran the algorithm and updated the sites that should or should not have been touched by Panda.

Yia.org closed at $806. The 14 year old domain had 6 bidders make 26 bids. I think LLL.org are a decent investment that certainly are not in the class of LLL.com but with the right buyer can still do well and have a good bit of liquidity.
InfoBoat.com closed at $206 and I think that was a nice pick up for a brandable website dealing in data and research. The 16 year old domain had 18 bids made by 7 bidders. Bidder 1 was smart imo they were there first and stayed in to get the win.

There were several other five figure closes but were below reserve. Some of the names we mentioned we liked did ok with Gentler.com doing the best closing at $5100, Zmi.org and Mints.net both sold for under $300 making them nice acquisitions if the sales go through.
