Batch Wars the next thing in reality tv

Batch Wars may not become a reality tv show, but it would be entertaining if it happened.

MiKe Berkens wrote a post about conflicting strings. Tlds that cover the same topic but with different keywords.

So we have .car,.cars,.auto and .autos for example.

So next this will become batch wars, because if an extension covering your topic gets in first batch and you don't, you wasted time and money.

Because the next thing that will come is the consumer say, "If there is .car why is there also .cars ?" No one will be there to tell them, "Mr and Mrs consumer that is so ICANN,consultants and registry operators can confuse you and try to get rich"

.gripe has been applied for and is  really nowhere close to .sucks imo. If its not in the same batch that money would have been better spent on something in the world that matters, maybe a donation to the Red Cross or for the homeless.

All of the gtlds will be short blips on the cyber radar before they go under. Consumers only want .com and the guy who ventures out in a .somethingelse will hemorrhage traffic to the .com equivalent.
