Dot Co puts out some trends and statistics for September

In a new blog post at Cointernet.co Crystal Peterson went over some trends for the extension, check out the blog post for some charts and other info.

Crystal writes:

Interestingly enough Bermuda becomes one of the Top 10 countries for .CO registrations for the first time at the #10 position. Both China and India have been increasing market share over the past few months with new registrations to be in competition with Germany for the #6, #7 and #8 positions.

Through the first quarter of 2012, the .CO namespace showed a total of 76.4% active domains. Of that, 22% are considered live dedicated sites and 41% are considered redirected. The remaining active sites are made up of parking (2%) and referral sites (11%). This shows a decrease in referral and redirected sites and an increase in live dedicated sites over the 4th quarter of 2011.
