Name.com to join the Sedo MLS
Name.com (an advertiser here) had already been mentioned on the website for a few weeks. We had a few comment or email on our guide to where you can sell your domains
Today it becomes official as Sedo put out the following release:
Sedo, the world’s largest domain marketplace and monetization provider, today announced an expansion of their partnership with leading domain name registrar Name.com. The new partnership enables Name.com to distribute Sedo’s inventory of 16 million premium domains directly at their website. As a Premium partner, Name.com also offers their domainer customers the option to list domain names for sale in the SedoMLS network.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with Sedo to offer additional services to our customers,” said Scott McBreen, Domain Operations Manager at Name.com. “Sedo’s inventory of great names is readily available to anyone searching at our site, meaning that we can help buyers find the right domain for their business or online presence. As a SedoMLS Premium partner, Name.com customers also have an additional means of connecting with buyers for their own domains. ”
Sedo’s CEO Tobias Flaitz said: “Building strong partnerships with registrars like Name.com allows us to provide end users with access to premium domains, wherever they are located. What’s more, our own users gain an additional point of sale for their own domain listings whenever we bring a new SedoMLS Premium partner on board. We look forward to seeing the SedoMLS network grow even further, so that we can better help domain sellers and buyers connect.”
Name.com is a fully ICANN-accredited domain
registrar and web hosting company located in the heart of Denver,
Colorado. Founded in 2003 by William Mushkin, Name.com has become one of
the top registrars in the world with over 1.5 million
domains under management and offering over 50 different domain
extensions. Through their innovative domain search tools, which help
customers search for premium, geo and expiring domains, as well as their
domain backorder service, Domain Nabber, the company
focuses on helping customers find and utilize the right domain name for
their project or business.
The SedoMLS Promotion Network is the largest domain distribution network, with more than 80 partners, including Go Daddy and other top registrars. Some partners redirect potential buyers to Sedo.com to continue with the purchase, while others allow buyers to purchase a name directly by searching for it, adding it to their shopping cart, and completing the partner’s online checkout page.
